Miss Bea Havin II
Recently I received emails from Chuck Lester, whose Dad crewed on the original Miss Bea Havin. In those messages he stated:
My father Fred Lester was ball turret gunner.
I have purchased an airplane and dedicated it to him and rest of crew.
Plane is going to be used to train pilots in flight school.
Would like you to add picture to site. Hopefully one of the crew is still alive to see her reborn!!
I add here the drawings that he supplied. Chuck has further mentioned to me that he has now taken possesion of this aircraft.
UPDATE: Chuck has sent me photos of the aircraft and they are now included here. What a beauiful aircraft and great tribute.
