This is evidently a meeting of the "Welcome Club", also known as the "Passion Club" according to Elizabeth Alston.
This photo was taken at a gathering of this group at the home of Jessie Baker, Mill House in Lavenham.
Jessie Baker is sitting on a blanket near the center of the photo. Bunty Widdicombe is sitting at the far left in the picture.
Others who belonged to this group were Beth Alston and Betty Baker (Lionel Baker's aunt).
Jessie Baker was identified by Lionel Baker and Bunty Widdicombe by Elizabeth and Neil Alston.
Presumably the military personnal are from surrounding bases, perhaps some from the 487th?
