This photo was taken in front of the main entrance of the Birkdale Palace Hotel at Southport, England, while the crew was on leave in May 1945. Bombardier Robert Kendall was transferred off the crew sometime earlier. World War II in Europe ended during the week that the crew was on leave at Southport.
