Mission to Metz Aero-Engine Works
Comment from research by Paul Webber - This mission photo shows Le Havre, France and the mouth
of the Seine River. The direction of view is northeast. B-24s of the
487th Bomb Group are crossing the French coast several miles
southwest of Le Havre, flying inbound to the target at Metz. The
planes are probably flying between German flak batteries at Le Havre
and Caen.
