Collision 30-May-1944
Three photos of collision on base. It appears that the nose of Lt Majerus' B-24H 42-52745 (Virgin Vampire) hit Ziegler's B-24H 41-29482 in the starboard waist, and then Majerus' number two engine chewed the tail off Ziegler's plane.
