Okmulgee Special #43-37984 - B-17G of the 839th Squadron
The plane is believed to have been named by crew chief Roe V. Sanders who was from Okmulgee Oklahoma.
Roe Sanders is center in the photo. The other men are not identified.
The B-17 was salvaged some weeks after landing in Belgium on the mission of December 18, 1944
