B-17 - #44-8843 836th squadron
This aircraft was assigned to the 487th/836th Sqd from the 398BG on 19-Apr-45, then transferred to the 2nd BG, 15th AAF on 29-May-45.
Does anyone have any details of the collision of these 2 aircraft? It appears that the prop of number 2 engine of the other aircraft was not turning at the time of the collision. Was this perhaps a 'towing' accident?
